Wooooo, I hate clothes shopping.
Sunday, June 4th, 2006So Friday night I convinced Rob to come shopping with me at the big expensive mall around here, for things to wear to the wedding a week from today. I’d been looking for stuff online, but I’m wary of buying clothes on the intArweb, because you can’t try things on, and things almost never fit me right.
Rob didn’t want to get anything until I got something, but I had absolutely no luck finding a dress in the mall. Rob did end up getting another pair of shorts though.
Yesterday I went to this stand-alone dress store that’s HUGE, to see if they had anything I could wear there. There were lots of dresses I liked, but I had a huge problem determining which dresses were too dressy, not dressy enough, and such like. All of the dresses that were in different colors didn’t fit me right. So I ended up buying a little black dress. The wedding is @ 4pm, and I’m pretty sure it’s inside, and not in a church, so I think I’m ok. Though I do think it’s kind of weird to wear black to a wedding. I hope it’s not offensive. The invitation says black tie optional, so I hope I’m ok. I was going to get silver shoes too, but they ended up having the cutest black heels and I needed them. I’ll take pictures next weekend, it’s probably the only time this year I’ll be dressed up.
On the knitting front, I’ve been pretty lazy. I don’t think I knitted all week. Today I brought the applejack socks over to Rob’s parents house, and got a few more rows of the heel flap done. I know, I’ve been really bad. Hopefully this week I’ll pick stuff up again.
This Thursday is my littlest brother’s birthday, and I have no idea what to get him. I told my mom I’d bake a cake for him, and I’m going to, but I still think I should get him something else. Hopefully I can figure something out by then.
