Jeans and Sneakers

So I got to leave work early yesterday because I had a job interview at a marble company near my house. They were very straight forward, but I have no idea if they got a good impression of me. Basically, it’s an office job, they’re looking for someone who can be polite on the phone, and can handle the phones when they get heavy, and who can also do other office work. They’re looking for someone with common sense, and responsibility. Word. He said that if they call me on Monday, they want to hire me for the trial period, and if I don’t get a call on Monday, then they hired someone else, but to please not take it to offense, and he will keep my resume on file for 6 months, and if whomever they hire doesn’t work out, there’s a possibility I could get a call from them in two months or so. Fine, whatever, at least I know I’ll know about that job by Monday.

Tuesday I have another interview at some CPA firm, so we’ll see how that goes, and then my car insurance company replied to a resume I sent them in reply to an ad they put up for an internship as a Web Designer, so we’ll see what happens there too. They wanted a sample of my web design, so I sent them my Twice on Tuesday url. They haven’t gotten back to me, but they wanted me to call them, and I told them if I didn’t hear from them I’d call back on Monday. So there’s that too.

I came home last night and ate some leftover chinese food and went to sleep for about four hours. I was so tired from being all nervous and stressed out all day that I passed right out. Then I worked on my friend’s scarf and listened to Christmas music until it was bedtime. Now I’m up relatively early for me on a Saturday, cause I got all that sleep last night.

Today I’m going to a jewelery show with Rob and his parents. They might have some cool stuff there!!

I know I started this blog to track things I’ve learned with web stuff, and I haven’t really accomplished any of that. Things have been kind of hectic for me to sit down and try to learn anything though. I can’t even really focus enough to try to redo my website in CSS. Maybe after the new year starts. And also, I’m thinking about coming up with different designs for my site as well, and putting all of the designs in a gallery design elsewhere, so that I can have more of a portfolio in case people ask me for “samples of my work.”

Rob’s trying to sleep, and I’m sure I’m driving him nuts with my typing, so I’ll end for now.
